Committed enough to exercise regularly, and meditate everyday. Health for me encompasses physical health and spiritual health. One thing I love about rock climbing is that it is both physical, and transformational for me. I don't do drugs - recreational, I mean. They affect my meditation (I can't transcend with them in my body) so that means I stay away from them!
If you were stranded on a desert island with one book and one person, which book and which person?
Wouldn't it be funny if I didn't have a book, but I had a library card - which would normally give me access to thousands of books - but I was stranded on a desert island?
Which person? Probably a magical man who could turn himself into different men... I like variety!
I will add that I read loads of books when I travel, or when not in school.
I even have a booklist on my travel blog... and hit up all the second hand bookstores I can when I travel. Second hand bookstores in foreign countries rock! Recently, I read a book by Sarah Waters. "Fingersmith" I recommend it HIGHLY.
Who have been your greatest teachers?
I'm not sure about my greatest teachers - Mostly my greatest lessons learned. I would certainly say that Marco Lam has been one of my greatest teachers, but I would say that where I see myself growing the most spiritually has always been when I traveled out of the country in different cultures. It pulls you out of your Self, and comfort zone, and you become bigger than yourself.
Other teachers: I must say Yoda and Marco Lam are both worth listening to and learning from.
Who are your idols? Living or not?
I'm Jewish... worshiping idols is a sin. I do like, 'Carrie Underwood' from American Idol, though!
However, Yoda and Marco Lam are both worth listening to and learning from.
What are the 3 greatest challenges you are facing in your personal growth?
Isn't it just ourselves that are the greatest challenge to our personal growth?
What 3 things are you doing that most benefit your Health?
Meditate, rock climb
What is your favorite food?
That is the hardest question here.
What is your greatest passion?
I love everything that encompasses my freedom, from traveling to climbing... meditating - which frees my mind - I love earning money, because I can have so much fun with it! (like travel)
What is your greatest fear?
That my fears will manifest - of course!
Is there anything in general you'd like to tell people about you?
I am apprenticing with Marco Chung-Shu Lam, and am also involved in business development for the Mandala clinic.
